Urban guest suite. Seperate from main house

The guest suite is bright, sunny and great for a short stay. With blackout blinds for privacy, darkness and temperature control. A sliding door separates the bathroom from the bedroom and we provide a heater or portable fan depending on the season. The space includes a fridge, toaster, kettle, Twinings herbal tea, instant coffee, and basic tableware. Please note there are NO cooking facilities (no oven or microwave) due to the small size of the room. Barstool and table for brekkie/cuppa tea.

Te Mapara Cabin

Located in a rural setting yet so handy to SH3. The perfect rest stop, 15 mins to Te Kuiti, 5 mins to Piopio. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Fat Pigeon or Bakery. Handy to the Timber Trail and Waitomo Caves. Lots of local walks featuring waterfalls and stunning rock formations which can also be enjoyed here on the farm. Handy to Hairy Feet, film location of Lord of the Rings, a great Golf Course and the well known Berry Orchards. Not to mention a pool to cool off! We also welcome horses😊

Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee, minimum 2 night stay. Cabin is a bedroom only, toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning, sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Jailhouse Ridge is a fully self-contained unit with its own private access, ideal for couples. It is surrounded with 7 acres of gardens, ponds & paddocks. Your own private spa awaits you on the deck & is serviced daily. With a Queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, en-suite & log fire, it has everything you need for a fantastic stay. The mezzanine floor, accessed by a steep staircase, has a sofa, 42" TV , Freeview, DVD, WIFI. An extra 32" TV with Chrome-cast is downstairs.

Wairere Farm Cottage Ongarue

Wairere Cottage is the perfect place to stay before or after biking the Timber Trail. Situated 2 ks down a private driveway off SH4. Wairere Cottage sits peacefully on our working sheep & beef farm. 5 mins to Ongarue village, 40 mins drive to TeKuiti, 20 mins to Taumarunui. Makes it an ideal base to go off mountain biking(Timber trail), walking, railcarts, jetboating, golfing all in Taumarunui. With Skiing at Mt Ruapehu. Stunning night sky ( Weather permitting)

A great place for a single or a couple who may be working in the area or great stop-over accomodation on way through to next destination.Also now has large covered outdoor Kitchen with all amenities.Stop-over guests are welcome to use all covered facilities.When Stop-over is booked guests have full use of above for themselves.

Taumarunui is central to a range of outdoor activities. There are mountain bike trails, and tramping trails. Situated between 2 rivers provides fishing and kayaking experiences. We are about 35 minutes from Mt. Ruapehu and Whakapapa ski village. We are located about 4 Ks from Taumarunui town which has a supermarket, restaurants and other places of interest. please note: microwave only for heating food

Private and quiet, set in lovely gardens, 5 minute walk to lake, parking on site, a 6 minute drive to town and all Taupo has to offer! Flat is cool in summer and warm in winter with gas heater. There is an air fryer and microwave available for cooking, and the flat has an ironing board, iron and hair blow drier.
