This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. We are situated close to main routes in Taranaki but in a small town only 15 minutes from New Plymouth. WE PROVIDE CONTINENTAL BFREAKFAST; cereal, bread for toast, spreads, butter, milk and tea & coffee,. You will need to have your own transport when staying with us as public transport is almost non-existent with only 2 buses a day. We have offroad parking. There are a lot of activities available to you including walking tracks, surfing, cycling & beautiful parks to explore.
