Great to have a massive grass area out the front for lawn games. The big living area, deck and spa pool also nice. Well layed out house for entertaining and relaxing after our running event. Close to the big carrot / park, would be nice for families too.

We loved staying here during our time in Raurimu! Hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, answering any of our questions with no problem. The space was so cozy with amazing views and fully stoked with anything you could need. Would recommend this airbnb to anyone staying in the area!

Great location for trekking. The cottage is lovely and clean, Imogen is very fast to respond to questions and getting into the house was simple and easy

Such a beautiful home with lots of character. Perfect spot for a few families and lots of room for the kids to run around outside. We loved our stay and will be back hopefully next snow season 😊

Excellent property and location! The master bedroom offers a stunning view of Lake Taupo. I recommend removing the photos of the spa pool and taking it off the amenities list to prevent any confusion when booking..

Andy was a very responsive and proactive host which made us feel relaxed and reassured to reach out if needed. The home was as described and suited our needs perfectly. The view was just glorious and the location fantastic!

Stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as you drive to Ohakune! Great region to explore or rest for the night! Kate has a guestbook with everything you need to know about her place, recommendations of where to eat, and what to explore in the area. We needed a night’s rest before driving to Auckland all the way from Wellington, and I’m glad we chose her place. 5 stars!

Wonderful wee railway cottage. Kids cracked up/crapped their pants when the trains roared past in the night but it became part of their norm in no time. Great wee cottage with everything we needed and close to town. Perfect for going up the mountain and super helpful host! Thank you.

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

Second time staying here and was as good as we remembered. Love the fireplace! Great spot as about 45 minutes from the snow.

This is a beautiful house in a great location. Can highly recommend if you’re looking for a family friendly spot - walkable to shops, cafes, activities, etc. Probably the best holiday let I’ve stayed in when it comes to provisions and set up. Hosts were great. Gave great advice and instructions and were super fast and responsive to any queries. My only complaint is that it’s already booked up for our next planned trip and I didn’t get in quick enough 😭. Thanks for sharing your beautiful house. Highly highly recommended!

Fantastic place with amazing views and a lovely fireplace to cosy up to in the weather we had. The home was spacious, very well equipped and we had everything we needed during our stay and more. WiFi had just been set up and worked well! Instructions were clear and Donna was quick to respond. Our family loved having such an easy, relaxing stay!

This place was truly a home away from home! Spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need—three cozy bedrooms, a full pantry, board games, blankets, and more. Sharon went above and beyond to make my partner’s birthday extra special and even left us the most delicious homemade ginger snaps! We felt so welcomed and cared for. I’d absolutely recommend this stay to anyone.

The Barn at Wood Pigeon Lodge was amazing. Beautiful grounds, quiet spot and terrific and a friendly host. The barn is that perfect blend of rustic charm, well appointed and tidy, with so many thoughtful touches. The barn warms nicely with a fire, and is very cozy during our cool autumn stay. We highly recommend it for a nice rural retreat and bonus views of the Raurimu spiral out the back.

We loved our stay at Lindy’s place. Everything was easy from the booking right through to the stay, and Lindy was helpful at every turn. The house is cosy and very welcoming and there was everything you could need available within the home. Thanks to Lindy for making us feel so welcome!

Great open plan kitchen/living/dining area. BBQ was excellent. Being a group of fisherman, a few hooks around the place etc would have been handy to air out waders at the end of the day....but these sort of things were minor annoyances. Bunk room a little cramped, however all things considered an ideal place for a group of 5-7 anglers. Thanks Kim👍
