Situated on a working farm with livestock and springbok, 2 hrs from Matjiesfontein and the Tankwa padstal, 90 minutes from Sutherland.

Welcome to "Die Tabak Huis" in the heart of the Karoo (Sutherland). Known for its cold temperatures (and snowfall), as well as incredible night skies and star gazing opportunities! Die Tabak Huis has two bedrooms, one bathroom and wonderful extras such as gas heaters, two fireplaces, Electric Blankets on all beds, two fire places and a Dover Stove. This house is great for a family or friends getaway with ample space for entertaining! Only 3,5 hours from Cape town. Escape to the Karoo!

Sutherland Guest House

A typical Karoo stone house with old world charm. 4 Bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and a self-catering unit inside the house completes the picture. All beds have electric blankets for our cold winter nights. There is also a fire place in the communial lounge. A lovely braai area which is partially covered against the weather. You can book the entire house for a group of family and friends. We do provide breakfast on request at an extra fee.

Blesfontein Guest Farm is a working farm with a private game reserve, telescopes in a private observatory and conference fascilities - ideal for small weddings and family festivals. The perfect holiday destination for families with young children. We have converted the old sandstone stables and sheds into well equipped self catering units suitable for single guests, couples and families.

Raka

Raka is a newly renovated karoo cottage situated in the middle of Sutherland and close to all amenities. Raka features two double rooms with percale linen and a family bathroom. The kitchen boasts a coal stove and the living area has a Queen Anne coal stove for the cold nights. There are safe undercover parking and backup lights in case of loadshedding.

Little Artist Cottage

Little Artist Cottage is separate from the Artist Cottage and can accommodate up to two guests in a warm and cozy atmosphere. The cottage features one double bed, a rustic bathroom, an indoor fireplace, and a kitchenette. Two-bedroom stone cottage. Well-equipped kitchen with gas burner, microwave, and fridge. Lovely inside and outside braai on the stoep. The first room has a double bed and the second bedroom have two single beds. Panel heaters, electric blankets, feather duvets

Rooikloof’s Koesnaatjie Cottage 1

The 4-sleeper has a room with a double bed, gas heater and shower-only bathroom. Guests need to bring bedding for the pull-out double sleeper couch. The kitchenette has a 2-plate stove, indoor braai and a Dover stove. The unit does not have electricity.

One Bedroom Apartment

This cosy one-bedroom apartment features a comfortable king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and wash basin. You'll find everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen, plus separate sitting and dining areas.
