This sweet, unique, tiny house is located on Pigeon Lake, just 15 minutes from Shipshewana and the heart of Amish country, and 55 minutes from Notre Dame! It is beautiful in any season, and offers a quiet retreat for families or friends. Guests have lake access, and the public boat launch nearby. Paddle boat, kayaking, and fishing from the pier at the house are all available from this property. (Fishing gear not provided) After a day in Shipshewana, relax in the outdoor porch and fire pit area!

These pictures do not do the cabin justice, we have heard this from so many guests that have stayed at our cabin! You will not be disappointed with your stay at our cabin. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. A front and back porch with beautiful views to drink a cup of coffee, read a book or relax! Stay in our redecorated entire upstairs level with pass-coded private entry to come and go as you please. Queen bed in the primary bedroom, a double in the second bedroom. (2 cots can be set up for any youth). Full bath with tub and shower, TV room with Kuerig, microwave, mini frig, and back wood’s view. Relax on front porch. Short walk to Fairgrounds and Pumpkin Vine trail. Close by places to eat. Notre Dame is 45 mins away. Shipshewana -40 mins. 60 miles to Lake MI. 3 hr drive to Chicago.

There are two bicycles available for exploring the surrounding countryside as well as a canoe, 3 kayaks, and paddle boat to use on the water. Shipshewana is a quick 15-mile drive away through beautiful Amish countryside.

Come stay in our private-access, BASEMENT apartment, while you visit our town of Shipshewana. Our home sits in the middle of 7 acres of woods. We love it here, and we hope you do too! Mullet's Speed Shop is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant and Bakery, less than 10 miles from the quaint shops of Shipshewana, and an easy 40 minute drive to Notre Dame (for the football fans). Take a bike ride or a peaceful walk on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail less than 2 miles away. Nestled in the heart of Amish country, enjoy the buggies passing by!

Cottages on Sand Lake - The Cozy Cottage

Cozy two bedroom cottage with a view. Deck right off living room to enjoy the view of the lake. Paddle boat, row boats, paddle boards and kayaks provided. Lake trampoline also. Sand Lake County Park located two blocks away to put your boat in. This is a classic Michigan inland lake, 102 acres, all sports with great fishing. The Cozy Cottage is one of five properties we rent out and is close to another cottage which are both located directly on the water.
