The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A kitchenette, with fridge, toaster, plug in cook top + more. Sit back and relax on your private deck with a grill or walk to the beach in just 5 minutes.

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Welcome to the Harmony Hut on the beautiful Outer Banks. We are centrally located in Kill Devil Hills. Less than a half mile to the beach and only several blocks to the sound. Grocery stores, restaurants and bars are all close by. There are bikes available in the shed out back to take a pleasant evening ride. After a long day on the beach, enjoy the private shower out back. I've lived on the beach for nearly 30 years. If you have any questions, just ask!
