The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

A tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everday life, sit back in nature, listen to the birdsong and recharge...yet close enough to local amenities and a short drive to the gateway to Mt Taranaki. Overlooking a pond and nestled in a native /pine forest . Enjoy the beautiful birdsong that makes this magical picturesque landscape a place you wont want to leave. This rural getaway is situated between Opunake & Manaia on Surf highway 45. Older but cosy cottage with 3 bedrooms on our dairy farm. Clean with lovely linen & comfy beds. Good base - 30 mins to Mt Taranaki, 10 mins to Opunake. Close proximity to lots of surf breaks, Pihama lavender farm, Mt Taranaki and many other amazing adventures & scenery. The cabin Situated only 20 minutes drive from New Plymouth at the base of the Pouakai ranges. A five minute walk through native bush along a well formed track will bring you a lovely little bush glen where this cabin has been built. This cabin is an adults only retreat where you can leave the kids behind and unwind in this private location.
