The property was rebuilt from the ground up in 2017, blending original timber beams and local stone with contemporary design to offer guests a haven of peace and comfort. Chesterdale is in the heart of Kuitpo forest on 32 acres, surrounded by 8,900 acres of pine plantations and native forests. Perfect for walking and riding, the Heysen and Kidman trails are accessible through our back gate. Famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wineries are nearby. While the guest suite is attached to the main house, it is quite separate and totally private. A 50 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and a 20 minute drive from southern beaches, it is perfect for a weekend escape.

Space & peace to self isolate in beautiful surroundings with lots of trees & fabulous views. Sit by the wood combustion fire & warm your soul or lie in until lunchtime in soft linen sheets, listening to birdsong. Lost in the Vines is a very private space in the McLaren Vale wine district, surrounded by vines & views, with lots of great walks, wineries & restaurants nearby. The house is all yours but I am generally around if you have any queries. Walk, ride, read or just kick back.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.

Welcome to Manna Vale Farm, a tranquil retreat in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, just a scenic 40-minute drive from Adelaide. Located within 6 kilometers of Woodside and minutes away from renowned wineries and restaurants such as Bird in Hand, Barristers Block, Petaluma, and Lobethal Road. Our beautiful studio apartment is positioned away from the main residence ensuring privacy at all times. The studio overlooks a beautiful lake with its own island accessible via a bridge.
