Although it was just a one night stay and I had reached the place at 6pm and needed to checkout at 11am next day as per rules, the common space was open for me for as long as I wanted. This helped me escape the afternoon summer sun till my next place of visit was fixed. Everyone was polite and kind. Great place to be! Spent my entire post - check out time of nearly 4+ hours reading a book that I found in their shelves.

The vibe and hospitality of the place is very rare. The added fun of interacting with other guests and getting involved in collective activities is what makes this place very homely. The host is amazing and very helpful. Must visit!

My stay at this property was amazing, and even better was the host Pinidu!! He was so helpful and professional and he took the time to explain all the great things to do in the area and where is good to eat/how to get around etc. He also has such a beautiful, historically rich and fascinating property which he is very proud of and for good reason! His garden is amazing and he took all the guests on a tour around it showing us all the different types of fruits and spices he grows there as well as explaining the history behind his house. The hostel room was super clean and comfortable and the other travellers I met were really nice and friendly. Also I had breakfast there twice and both times it was amazing. Overall, Pinidu was easily one of the best hosts I’ve met in Sri Lanka yet, and his property was outstanding and I would happily stay here again when I eventually return to Sri Lanka some day!

little lagoon container room

We slept in one of the containers for four nights. The grounds of the accommodation are very nice and cosy and we received a warm welcome. As it was low season, breakfast was not offered, but that was ok for us as a few shops in the neighbourhood were already open and there is also a shared kitchen. We booked a safari and a cooking class through the accommodation and everything went smoothly. The staff was also really lovely and supportive. As the accommodation is right on the road, it's not super quiet, but there is little traffic towards the evening. We felt comfortable, but next time we would rather come at the beginning of the high season, as the place is otherwise quite deserted.

Cosy mixed dorm in a quirky, artsy hostel

My first time staying at a hostel, and Nextdoor has set the bar high! Everyone is incredibly friendly, making it easy to feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is always super good. Highly recommend!

Hostel Mantra (Deluxe Double Bed Private Room)

I stayed at Hostel Mantra for two nights and 3 full days! Day 1: I reached Hostel Mantra at 12pm in scorching heat, the cooler in the lobby and the "ghadey ka paani" made it easier to climb 3 floors. Ofcourse Pramod Jee & Abhishekh made my check in super comfortable. At first, I stayed in the deluxe room which was super cute and tidy with all the basic amenities and a powerful AC. Upon arrival, I ordered a pesto pasta and a coffee mojito..which was lip-smacking! I was in udaipur for a work trip but HOSTEL MANTRA made it so fun that my "mundane trip" became something I would remember forever! I shared stories with some very cool people who also manage and host the place; watched the sunset and also flew my for the v first time! I was v nervous but the host Ashish was super helpful and knowledgeable! Day 2: Since I was unsure about staying in the hostel for more than a day, i had made a booking just for day 1, the hostel is v popular and gets completely booked over the weekends, I was lucky enough to find myself a bed in the girls dorm! i shifted to this dorm. Evening was packed with lovely views from the rooftop a lot of delicacies from Shahzad Bhai's kitchen and a great dining experience by Imroz!! We played board games and card games till early morning after which I took a power nap on the rooftop ! Shot the sunrise with the help from the host! when I came back from work the next day, i was fed some delicious lasagna & sizzler! My stay was overall fruitful and enjyable, absolutely going to recommend Hostel mantra to everyone!

Staying at K Mansion was everything we could have asked for and more. From the beautiful location, to the welcoming and caring hospitality and the fantastic food. Everyone at K Mansion was so helpful with helping us book onto tours and attractions in the local area, they were so kind and considerate for our whole stay and the food they make to order was so tasty. We loved our stay!!

This guy is amazing, he will ensure you have a wonderful time in Galle and carry great memories back home. I was in Galle for a day and he helped me with the a list of must-visit places. The place is just about a KM away from the railway & bus station. You can either walk, take a tuk tuk or bus to reach the place. The rooms and backyard are very clean. I had a wonderful time in Galle, thanks to this man!

We had a great stay at smyle .Easy to checkin and very helpful staffs just there is a small concern that room was a bit small for 4 people or else everything was well and good .Even we had a great time with Rinku he used to serve breakfast with a great smile .

The Beehive, private rooms for budget travelers

My hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed and very willing to help with orientation to the local area etc. It was a short stay but great for budget travel and very close to everything in Thamel, as well as the buses to Pokhara, Chitwan etc.

Room with Balcony and near to Ganga River

Naveen works really hard to make his guests enjoy their time in Varanassi. It is very close to the Ghats so easy for boat rides on the Ganga. He is very helpful in arranging a taxi pick up from the airport or rail station. Great to mix with the other guests for breakfast on his rooftop. Top value and location.

this is an amazing building, bathroom attached to the rooms, hot shower at any time. Nice terrace to get breakfast, very good breakfast and dal bhat from own kitchen. when it's cold outside a fire to sit around and eat. very nice people for Service.

L’emplacement était idéal, à 1 km à pied du Taj Mahal. Restaurant et piscine sur le toit et services impeccable. Padam m’a aidé à organiser mes visites à Agra et à Jaipur. Je vous recommande ses services, il est fiable, responsable et très sympathique.

Hostel with shared kitchen Non AC

My son and I had a good stay at the hotel. I booked for one night and we ended up extending another 3 nights. They have a shared kitchen on the terrace, I was able to cook. Right in front of the hotel there is a vegetable and fruit sales station, 5 minutes walk away you will find a pastry shop, other places to buy things to cook (oil, eggs, etc.). The hotel has free water for guests (refill). The area is very quiet, it is in Gokulam. The hotel is at the intersection and in the early hours of the morning there is a little noise from vehicles, but nothing that disturbed our sleep. From the train station to the hotel it is about 5km, tuc tuc INR 70 if you book via Uber or 100 INR to 150 INR if you negotiate with the driver. The bathroom is very clean, has hot water with plenty of pressure. thanks

The stay was so so nice! You really feel like home, Sameera and his family are treating you like a good friend. They even served me tea and I had long conversations with them and played with their little kitten, it was very pleasant. :) Very friendly people. When I came there I even got a well prepared list of what to do in the area. Additionally the hostel was very clean which was also nice. Highly recommended!

It is first of its kind and one of the best Airbnb stays I have stayed. It is budget friendly and comfortable stay, best for travellers who are looking for a relaxing place to wind down and to meet new people. It's clean and hygienic with amazing staff to support your need. Thank you for the comfortable stay. I would love to stay here during my visits to Chennai again.
