Enchanting Woodsy Getaway: Cozy Cabin

Cozy Cabin in Hvalfjörður (Whale fjord). A great spot to enjoy nature and the beautiful northern lights, still close to the city and all major attractions in south-west Iceland. The cabin is located in the north of Hvalfjörður in the hill Fornistekkur, facing the south with beautiful surroundings and Mt Brekkukambur at the back. In the cabin you'll be able to enjoy the quiet nature close to some of the main attractions and still reach Reykjavík in only 40-50 minutes. Close by you will find great hiking trails, for example to the second highest waterfall in Iceland Glymur, mere 10-15 minute drive away, to Síldarmannagötur and Mt Þyrill 5-8 min away. Hvammsvík's Hot Springs are just on the other side of the fjord, approx 20 min drive and guests in my cabin will get 15% discount there. Þingvellir national park is within an hour away and from there you can visit the Geysir and the Golden Circle among others in the south. In the west there are many wonderful attractions like Snæfellsjökull glacier, located at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The Peninsula is loaded with many attactions, like Arnarstapi, Djúpalónsandur, Hellnar, Kirkjuflell (the most photographed mountain in Iceland) and so on. In a walking distance from the cabin you might be able to pay a visit to our friendly Icelandic horses or have a walk on the beach where you might see seals. During winter (when it's dark) you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the northern lights, just outside in the hot tub or on the patio. Beautiful 40m2 cottage for 2 people, great view to mountains and northern lights (Aurora Borealis) in winter. This home includes 1 living room , 1 bedroom (default double beds) and 1 bathroom with shower. In the kitchen is a Nespresso machine, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and kitchenware. Featuring a terrace with mountain views and a hot tub. In the house is a smart TV. The unit has a bed that can both be double and twin, double is default but make twin for a request.

We would like to welcome you to our cozy little cabin. It will give you the perfect opportunity to relax in a romantic and peaceful atmosphere. It is ideal for 1 or 2 persons and the highlight of the stay will most likely be the outside geothermal shower with a mountain view. During the darkest months, can you imagine to take a shower under the Northern lights? Well that is possible! This cabin is not suitable for children and infants.
