Jumhadi and his family are very kind and generous hosts who ensured I felt very welcome at their place. The homestay is in a lovely location, very close to many beautiful beaches and about 30 minutes from Tanjung Pandan. Jumhadi's wife is also a fantastic cook, preparing many delicious meals which were highlights of my stay. Even though they have had few foreign guests recently, the family can still speak fairly good English and were patient with my poor attempts at Indonesian. If you come to Belitung you must stay here. The Homestay is great. The Family is awesome. They take care of their visitors and truly give insights to the life of a local person from Belitung. The location is also great, very close to the most famous and beautiful beach of Belitung! Jum Hadi knows a few really good places to check out very close to the house, you'll like it. As a girl travelling on my own I always felt save while staying with the family. I can only recommend the Homestay!
