The Happy Place @ the Butte

The Happy Place @ Butte is the closest air bnb to the entrance to the state park. Less than 1 mile to the entrance into Elephant Butte Lake and the golf course. Plenty of room for parking a large boat, side by side and horse trailers. Enjoy the beautiful view of Turtleback Mountain from all areas of the home and incredible sunsets. The private view from the hot tub is spectacular. Hot tub available November thru March. Closed April thru October. You too will agree it is a Happy Place.

This stylish spacious place located in 5 min drive to Hot Springs district and in 10-15 min to Elephant Butte state park with its beaches. Dogs are welcome with notification of owner. There is a fenced yard. There are a few steps on the path from driveway to the porch, not compatible with wheelchair. There is a smart thermostat in the main hall regulating central cooling/heating, and there is an additional mini-split unit in the master bedroom and space heater in the master bath.

The fully fenced backyard includes a private and spacious patio with picturesque views of the mountains. A 30 amp RV hook up is available for an additional charge. No garage access.

Rejuvenate in the picturesque ambiance of our funky, cozy, little cottage on the river. From the back porch, you can enjoy the tranquil Rio Grande River and breathtaking views of the Turtle back mountain. Watch the abundant wildlife, wild birds, bats, fish, or seek peace. Elephant butte lake is 3 miles north. And 2 miles south is downtown TorC with 13 hot springs. NOTE: Like all rivers in New Mexico the rivers water flow runs low in the fall, winter & early spring.

The Parkside Retreat is walking distance to all of Truth or Consequences favorite amenities. In the morning walk across the street to the large riverside park to get some exercise, do some bird watching, or visit the Farmer's Market. Next walk down the street to soak at Riverbend Hot Springs or any of the other hot spring resorts in town. In the afternoon walk downtown for some eclectic shopping opportunities and to grab a beer or craft cocktail at the brewery.
