Fantastic rest stop for a few days post road trip. The property was larger than we needed for the 3 of us however the amenities available sold it for us and allowed complate rest. Great outdoor space and deep pool!

Katy‘s place is beautiful, I loved the decor. It was very charming but cozy at the same time. Stunning mountain view’s and peaceful surroundings. You can even see the river from the wraparound deck. My dog loved the yard and I especially loved the hammock! We’ll be back for sure.

We were in town for a wedding. Had a great stay, the house was clean and matched the photos perfectly, the pool and large lawn made for a fun/relaxing day in the back yard. Highly recommend!

Thus was a lovely little space. Of the places I've gone to see the stars, I appreciate that here there is also a town near enough by to grab some groceries, etc. The neighborhood is nice, feels lived in, in that rural way. It's not just other rental homes. There was a roaming pack of girls that got my own kid to help them find their cat. They all patted horses next door. I liked that. The home itself was a nice A Frame. You gotta be ready for the stairs, but after that it's very much like home. We did a lot of cooking and hanging out and it was a wondeful time.

I needed to rent a spacious house with two bedrooms for my family since we had a Bakersfield wedding. Room A has a soft queen bed with living room size couch and a TV. Room B has a soft king size bed, a pullable twin bed, and crib. Place was equipped with ceiling fans in bedrooms, living room, and dining area and central AC and heater to control to met your preferred temperature. Great plus since weather fluxiates from cold to hot. Bathroom is spacious which was the reason why I choose this place. Please note to run water for about 3 to 5 minutes to run hot. We were permitted 2 parking spots inside property. My dogs appreciated the beautiful garden. Not exclusively private since other units are on the same property. Martha was responsive to my questions and the house was clean and organized when we checked in. Equipped with iron and ironing board. Lots of outlets and office space, so great for family of 4. Cvs and Walmart close by in case you need to run last minute errands.

This was our second stay at Amelia's Meadow Cottage and we love it. Beautiful, peaceful and picturesque. Amelia is a great host, the cottage is comfortable, spacious, very well appointed and is close to the main street and with easy driving access to amazing hiking trails, swimming and river activities as well as fishing and more. We highly recommend this for a short or long nature get-away! Thank you!

We visit Kernville one to two times a a year. This was my favorite place so far out of the places my family and I have stayed. We have a family of 5 (3 kids) and they absolutely had a blast, plenty of games and activities for them to do at the house including swimming. We also had some friends and family visit us and the place was great for entertaining guests. I highly recommend staying here the host is very responsive and friendly. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

This is our 3rd stay here and we keep coming back because we always have a wonderful time. The view from balcony is gorgeous and you are just a short drive to Kernville. We also appreciate how clean the place is and the amenities to make the stay more comfortable like extra blankets, the patio fire pit, and kitchen ware.
