Honestly the photos don't do this place justice! It is so much more beautiful and cozy. We didn't want to leave! So clean and thoughtful. They have anything you may need! He was very respectful and made sure we had everything!! The fireplaces and hot tub amazing!!! Their are so many places around to hike or walk. I highly recommend this cute little place! My little family had the best weekend! I'm so thankful this made such great memories for us!

Wonderful stay! Cabin was wonderful and hosts were even better!

Aaron's house was a cozy retreat. I stayed with my husband and our 4yo and 2yo and everyone was comfortable. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed eating dinners on the screened in porch and on the patio and loved being able to see the woods from our bed.

Very nice super easy instructions our host was very quick with messaging back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hillsboro and can’t wait to come back! We will definitely keep this spot on our list!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tina’s cabin! It was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The cabin is secluded and in a private wooded setting, it’s very rustic on the outside but updated on the inside without losing the rustic charm. We really enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub and listening to the birds and cows while having our morning coffee on the porch. The cabin is stocked with dishes and cookware, spices, a microwave, toaster, oven and a grill. We only had to buy coffee! We didn’t do any cooking, but used the coffee pot and microwave. I couldn’t get the toaster to work, but it could’ve been user error. We also couldn’t get the bedroom tv to work, but no big deal! The cabin and hot tub were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was the perfect getaway with our 2 furbabies. The most important thing to note is the door will automatically lock when you shut it, make sure you have the code so you don’t get locked out! We would definitely stay here again!!

This was the second time I’ve rented this place for my family’s new year’s getaway . My family loves it here. Very quiet,relaxing and lots of room. Plus it’s not that far from town to run and pick up extra supplies. Owner is very nice and very responsive if you are in need of anything. Would definitely use again.

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

Perfect spot for a cozy trip in the mountains! We stayed dry and warm during an especially rainy/snowy weekend. The space was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. We were even surprised with a bouquet of roses for Valentine's Day and a collection of toys for our pup.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

Another great stay. The cabin is wonderful and the trails on property made it a great place to walk our dog. The WiFi was good enough to allow my wife to work remotely.

This cabin was perfect for weekend in the woods. My partner and I loved walking the trails to the. various spots around the property. We traveled to the Warm Springs for a soak while in the area!

This place was extremely clean and well kept. It had everything we needed and was the perfect place to stay with our almost 2 year old. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The place was exactly as described in the listing and Rodney was especially welcoming and answered any questions before we even had to ask. My husband, dogs, and I used it as a home base to explore the greater area. Great place for the price and just what we needed. Thank you Rodney for sharing your family getaway!

Well, the only thing I can say about this place is that it is just awesome. Everything about it clean comfortable secluded beautiful scenery. It’s just the best. If you’re thinking about staying here just book it the place is beautiful.

They give very clear instructions on how to get here, because it is a bit complicated, but with their help we had no problem. The area is very pretty and the cabin has everything you could want. The only difficulty we had was were no able to make phone calls, we were able to get enough of a connection at snowshoe, but be aware you will be cutoff from almost all internet uses. Outside of that we loved using the fire pit and grill every night, and we look towards our next visit!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

Despite renting this cabin in the dead of winter, leading to frozen pipes and being buried in snow, this stay was just what I needed to get away for a little while with my dog. Xavier notified me in advance of the pipes and there being no water, but made it work by providing ample drinking and flushing water. The mini split heater and an electric heater kept the cabin comfortable, but the wood stove cabin probably would have been more ideal in this weather. The family who lives near the property was extremely attentive to my needs and made me feel welcomed and safe. Bonus points for adorable goats, chickens, and cats on the property. I hope to come back in better weather to enjoy the trail and lake.

Another wonderful Christmas week vacation at your cabin. The hot water was endless, the Christmas tree and decorations were awesome again, and we really loved the security gate at the base of the mountain road going up to your property! we cooked a standing rib roast with all the trimmings! we also hiked at the Raptor Observatory and around the property roads. Every morning and evening we saw between 7-14 turkey and/or deer! we liked the new trash shed out back as well....plenty of room and clean as always! This is our favorite cabin in WV; in the fall you were booked and we stayed elsewhere and it was nice, but your property is more to our liking due to all the privacy and peace and quiet. We will soon be booking for our spring/summer trip and we plan to bring our mountain bikes and do some riding. Thanks again Tammy and Benny for making our holiday! Happy New Year!

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!
