We stayed here with a few friends and our kids and the space was perfect for us! The house was well stocked with everything we needed and cool to have the canal right behind the house. It was a great location in a residential neighborhood and convenient to drive to Omaha and go do other activities.

The home was very clean and kid friendly. We enjoyed the board games and outdoor toys available. The kids had a great time and it was easy to manage a 5 and 3 year old within the house. Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living room were spotless and had everything you would need to enjoy evenings after the zoo or any other activities. Will stay again if we come back to the area

We had a fantastic three-night stay at Michaela’s home while in town for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting. The location was ideal—just a quick 10-minute drive to the CHI Health Convention Center—yet it felt like a peaceful escape tucked away on Carter Lake, far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Omaha. Michaela is a top-notch host: responsive, thoughtful, and full of great recommendations for restaurants and local tips. The house itself is incredibly well-equipped and thoughtfully stocked—everything from a charging station with every type of cord imaginable to a reverse osmosis water filter and even a medicine cabinet with handy over-the-counter items (which we thankfully didn’t need, but it was so nice knowing they were there!). The home has a warm, charming personality, and the smart layout made the most of the space. It was a perfect retreat after long days at the conference. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Omaha!

I cannot say ENOUGH about our stay at this absolutely gorgeous lake cabin. It was truly amazing in every way!!! The view of the lake along with the massive deck with long banquet table was beyond description. It is perfect for a family gathering of relaxation and enjoyment. The view of the lake from inside the cabin is also stunning - and the sunsets are beautiful!! The home is so spacious and set up exactly how you'd want for a gathering! If I could carbon copy the home for a permanent residence, I would in a heartbeat. It truly is a piece of heaven. Susan was very accommodating with our check out time which was SUPER appreciated since it was Memorial Day. The beds are very comfortable and my mom actually had to go buy the same coffee maker the next day because it was the best coffee she had ever had. They had the fridge empty for us to be able to put groceries in for grill outs, which was so thoughtful. We had such a beautiful time in every way. We will be back very soon! Thank you!!

This is a beautiful place! It works great for families. The grandkids enjoyed playing in the sand on the beach and running around the backyard. The firepit was perfect! Everyone enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making smores. We got to see wildlife - squirrels, cranes, geese, ducks, raccoons and a very friendly cat that came to sit by the deck door which all of the kids enjoyed. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with the family for a getaway weekend! Each of them said what a nice place it was and so roomy. I even had a granddaughter ask this morning if we could go back to the "lake house". Thank you for sharing it with us!

The house was just what we needed. Our grandkids loved all the toys in the playroom and the pack n play and high chairs made dinner time great. The kitchen had mainly all the amenities we needed, although with 6 adults and two kids, it would have been nice to have a larger non-stick pan to make the potatoes for supper and scrambled eggs for dinner since we had most of our meals there, which was much easier than eating out with two under the age of one.
