Kanasar Ecolodge - A traditional Jaunsary Homestay

Kanasar Ecolodge, is a family run ecotourism venture located in Koti-Kanasar, a 31 km drive from Chakrata in Uttarakhand. The two cottages and 9 Tents are built on our apple orchard, in the modern adaptation of the traditional “kath-khuni” construction method, using stone and mud masonry with Deodar timber lacing and Chir Pine panelling inside. The Deodar roof with metal sheet. The cottages have a picturesque view of the alpine mountains beyond and the apple orchard in the valley below.

Stephen's place is one of twin apartments, with spacious and airy rooms. These include two bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a hall, and a large playroom, which can be converted into a bedroom for bookings with over 4 guests. The place is a short walk from the main road, separated from the village hub, overlooking a panoramic view of lush greenery, mountains and trails to the river. It's ideal for a family getaway, or a group of friends looking for a chill pill!
