While marked as a park Bell Woods is exactly that, a piece of stunning Scottish woodland. It has 3 marked trails and numerous routes for you to "get lost on" for hours and enjoy the peace and quiet. For thrill seekers, there's a mountain-biking area with routes for all skill groups.

Getting Around
The bus stops right on top of Allachlade Court (where we are) lead to both Aberdeen (Northbound; 201) - £11.05 for a single ticket and £13.50 for a daily ticket (we have maps of the zones, it actually lets you explore quite far in each direction from Aberdeen). The South-East bound stop heads to Braemar deep into the heart of Deeside with even more beautiful sights.

Balmoral Castle doesn't really need an introduction - the Royal family's summer estate is a beautiful spot to visit (if they're not around of course). The estate itself is also stunning and is a great natural spot to explore.

Tomnaverie is a recumbent stone circle, a kind of monument found only in north-eastern Scotland. Their characteristic feature is a large stone on its side, flanked by two upright stones, usually on the south or south-west arc of the circle.
The stone circle surrounds a burial cairn dating to about 4,500 years ago. The site appears to have seen use as late as the AD 1600s. It’s situated in a landscape littered with remains of stone circles and burial cairns.
