While the views are not quite as spectacular as the more famous Doi Suthep temple, Doi Kham still offers a beautiful panoramic view of Chiang Mai down below. Plus you will be one of the very few non-Thai people there. This one is a lot more common among locals than it is among tourists. There is a giant Buddha statue, a sleeping Buddha statue and a tall standing Buddha statue so you will have lots of cool picture opportunities as well.

Wat Phra That Doi Kham
While the views are not quite as spectacular as the more famous Doi Suthep temple, Doi Kham still offers a beautiful panoramic view of Chiang Mai down below. Plus you will be one of the very few non-Thai people there. This one is a lot more common among locals than it is among tourists. There is a giant Buddha statue, a sleeping Buddha statue and a tall standing Buddha statue so you will have lots of cool picture opportunities as well.

If you want to experience a serene temple without a 1,000 tourists walking around taking selfies....this would be the place to go. Aside from the very cool architecture, you simply can't beat the peaceful atmosphere up here. The hike is about 45 minutes. Make sure you bring plenty of mosquito repellent because it IS the jungle. Alternatively, you can hire a driver to take you up here if you want to skip the hike aspect and just experience the temple.

If you want to experience a serene temple without a 1,000 tourists walking around taking selfies....this would be the place to go. Aside from the very cool architecture, you simply can't beat the peaceful atmosphere up here. The hike is about 45 minutes. Make sure you bring plenty of mosquito repellent because it IS the jungle. Alternatively, you can hire a driver to take you up here if you want to skip the hike aspect and just experience the temple.

For example there is a cactus greenhouse, a fruits greenhouse, an area for orchids, a lotus pond section and more. There are also lots of little information boards that have quotes from the late King that explained his views on different things related to farming. Aside from the gardens, there is also a unique temple-looking building that houses some very cool looking art on the inside. A great place to spend a half a day or a full day.

For example there is a cactus greenhouse, a fruits greenhouse, an area for orchids, a lotus pond section and more. There are also lots of little information boards that have quotes from the late King that explained his views on different things related to farming. Aside from the gardens, there is also a unique temple-looking building that houses some very cool looking art on the inside. A great place to spend a half a day or a full day.

A very affordable ($2 USD day passes) gym that has everything you could possibly want to workout. Everything from weights to a boxing ring to calisthenics equipment is here. The only thing that some people might not like is that there are only fans (no AC). Other than that, it is one of the best gyms you can go to.

Probably the best Khao Soi you'll find in Chiang Mai. It's a little pricier than what you'll get on the street but the extra cost is worth it. The quality of the ingredients, the freshness and the resulting taste are phenomenal. The interior decor is also pretty nice. It's not a luxury restaurant but the pictures of the various Khao Soi options on the wall, combined with the rustic wood interior make for an inviting atmosphere.
