Parks & Nature
The Barranc de Algendar is the most important ravine of the island. It begins near Ferreries, next to the general road that links Maó with Ciutadella, in the called mount of Santa Magdalena or d'Urgell, and ends at the beach of Cala Galdana. Its length is 7 km, which is equivalent to half the average width of the island, which is 13.5 km. Its more vertical walls can reach in some points to the 80 m of height, although the most frequent value is of 50 m.

Canyon of Algendar
The Barranc de Algendar is the most important ravine of the island. It begins near Ferreries, next to the general road that links Maó with Ciutadella, in the called mount of Santa Magdalena or d'Urgell, and ends at the beach of Cala Galdana. Its length is 7 km, which is equivalent to half the average width of the island, which is 13.5 km. Its more vertical walls can reach in some points to the 80 m of height, although the most frequent value is of 50 m.
Cala Mitjana is a small virgin little beach in the south of Menorca. Its blue waters and its central location on the island, next to Cala Galdana, make it recommendable and accessible to everyone.
If Cala Mitjana seems very large, on your right you have Cala Mitjaneta, a cove that we could define almost as a single family.
How to get
To get to Cala Mitjana the road is the same as to go to Cala Galdana. You should take the detour to Santa Galdana just before reaching Ferrerías from Ciudadela towards Mahón. In a few minutes you will find a sign marking the beach.
The parking of Cala Mitjana is located a few meters from the cove.

Cala Mitjaneta
Cala Mitjana is a small virgin little beach in the south of Menorca. Its blue waters and its central location on the island, next to Cala Galdana, make it recommendable and accessible to everyone.
If Cala Mitjana seems very large, on your right you have Cala Mitjaneta, a cove that we could define almost as a single family.
How to get
To get to Cala Mitjana the road is the same as to go to Cala Galdana. You should take the detour to Santa Galdana just before reaching Ferrerías from Ciudadela towards Mahón. In a few minutes you will find a sign marking the beach.

Cala en Turqueta
Cala Turqueta is one our favorite beach of Menorca and is that its name has not been chosen at random, its blue waters and fine sand make the name is a reflection of the reality that is hidden in this little beach.
Although it is a virgin cove, it has bathrooms nearby and there is a lifeguard. There is also a small snack bar in the car park.
