Since this has been a staple for decades in downtown, lots of local people frequent this bar.
This is a great place to come for drinks and appetizers. They serve dinner also, but because it's always so crowded, we don't recommend it for a sit-down dinner. The food is very good, however, so we recommend appetizers if you want to much on something while having a drink. Some nights they have live music. If you want to eat an actual meal here, we recommend doing it in the late afternoon/very early evening so that you can dine before the bar crowd arrives.

If you have a sharp eye, you'll see alligators!

The park contains ferns and old live oaks with hanging Spanish moss. It's a very nice stroll and surprising that it is so close to the airport and so many businesses.
On the grounds of Florida Institute of Technology, you will follow along and cross over a stream bordered by a shady hammock abounding in palm trees and other tropical growth winds through the heart of the campus and is the setting for a 15-acre Botanical Garden. It is very scenic and mostly shady so it is a nice escape from the heat while still being outside.
There is no fee to visit (self-guided) and it is open from sunrise to sunset. If you would like a guided tour, docents are available with advance notice. A donation of your choosing is recommended for guided tours.

When you reach the first boardwalk you are warned this is an alligator sanctuary, so looking around and paying attention is wise. You'll also see all types of birds and butterflies.
This is a loop trail, easy to walk. Bug spray and sun block might be needed depending on conditions.
