14 Rocklands Rd(low Tide) Park your car at Milnethorpe, (Located off the main road to Collingwood). Walk through bush tracks to the beach, and stroll along to Collingwood. It’s about an hours walk and you can reward yourself with excellent coffee/food at the Courthouse Café when you arrive, stock up on supplies at the local store or grab a beer at the pub!

1891-1901 Takaka-Collingwood Hwy (low Tide) Park your car at Milnethorpe, (Located off the main road to Collingwood). Walk through bush tracks to the beach, and stroll along to Collingwood. It’s about an hours walk and you can reward yourself with excellent coffee/food at the Courthouse Café when you arrive, stock up on supplies at the local store or grab a beer at the pub!

A really fun day out! See birdlife and seals, sometimes you can see seal cubs playing in the shallow water. The north-facing sandy beach is accessible only via a 20-minute walking track from the end of Wharariki Road this is very exposed; so choose a day when there is minimal wind
