Palamos an old Fisherman's village dedicated most to good restaurants and Playa de Aro to shopping, Pub's, Restaurants and Nightlife.
It's a good option one of your days to spend it in Playa de Aro and walk through its streets shopping and having fun. Also good option with kids.

Hello guests. Here my own list of some of the restaurants I love in the area. Don't miss them if you can.
Don't come to my house in Calonge and miss the best tapas tavern in Palamos!
It is really a pleasure to have there dinner. But go with time because they do not make reservations. It is a really "Basque" tapas tavern and not a tourist one! The owner is lovely and charming. They are from San Sebastian (Donosti) and their food is original from there. It is open the whole year but obviously in summer it is very crowdy.

It is really a pleasure to have there dinner. But go with time because they do not make reservations. It is a really "Basque" tapas tavern and not a tourist one! The owner is lovely and charming. They are from San Sebastian (Donosti) and their food is original from there. It is open the whole year but obviously in summer it is very crowdy.
This is the best Pizza restaurant you will find in this area. Very, very thin base and wonderful toppings on it.
A perfect place to have the best pizza with kids and family. The waiters are very friendly and put you in the queue (list) just when you arrive... because, as many places like this with a lot of success, they make no reservations. So go with time and drink a beer while you wait for your table and meanwhile let the kids play 5 meters in front of you in the sand of the beach.
The owners have another pizzeria with the same name (Boca Dolça) in Sant Antoni de Calonge. you will find it easy in Google Maps. But if you have to decide go to "Snack-Bar Boca Dolça" and enjoy the place in front of the beach.

55 Passeig de Josep MundetIn Sant Antoni's promenade you can find this fish restaurant. Sure one of the best quality fish restaurants in Sant Antoni de Calonge. Make a reservation if you don't want to go there and leave disappointed because they don't have a table for you. Always make a reservation in summer. And, of course, make the reservation at their nice terrace, not inside!
The fish and shellfish they offer you is best quality and always fresh.
But you have to be aware that the prices are high. So this is a place to go just with your partner or adult friends.

71 Passeig de Josep MundetIf you want to taste a Menu of delicious flavors in small plates to share don't think more about it! Go here! LaTastaolletes is a very small restaurant in Sant Antoni's promenade. Very small means... very small!
I don't think they have more than 8 tables...but it is worth it!

Go to this street in Palamos if you want to experience lots of tapas taverns one beside the other one. Google Maps will guide you...
Taverna el Galeo, Taverna el Casino, La taverna del Iberic, Taverna La Notaría are some of them.

Beaches & coves
Here some known good familiar beaches...
But if you want the nicest coves in the area search in Google Maps for:
Cala del Pi,
Cala del Paller,
Platja de can Cristus,
Cala Cap Roig,
Playa cala de la Roca del Paller.
Cala Estreta and Cala Bona (nudist) (Not accessible by car in summer between June and September). You have to take the C-31 road, exit 328, and follow the road to Playa Castell. From there on foot about 30 minutes. If you go with small children better don't go. It is very beautiful but tired for children.
Famous beach that is in an area where still no modern houses are built. You will probably have to pay to park your car.
