The mansion of Vakritsa is located in the center of Skopelos Town, just above the beach. It is a typical example of a mansion in Skopelos and belonged to Mrs. Antigone Vakritsa, who donated it to the Municipality of Skopelos, in order to operate as a museum.
The heirlooms and personal belongings of the Bakrza family are displayed on the premises. Apart from these, visitors have the opportunity to see the interior of a typical Skopelos mansion. Finally, it is worth noting that in the beautiful courtyard area, with the characteristic palm tree, cultural events such as book presentations and speeches are organized.

A wonderful church with stunning view!! Ideal for wedding!! You can go to Panagia and continue your walk to Skopelos castle, there is a nice route. At the back of the church there is an exit and if you continue go upstairs, you end up to Anatoli Taverna (the top of the Skopelos Castle)

The wall of ancient Peparithos was the basis of the Byzantine and Venetian wall of Skopelos.
The Venetian castle of Skopelos -of which only the remains of the wall are saved to date- is in the area of the oldest settlement on the island, Peparithos.
It was repaired by the Venetians in the 13th c. and is a part of the rest of the chora of Skopelos. The Castle is visible from any part of Chora.
You will reach it by climbing the steps above Panagitsa tou Purgou at the edge of the port.
Today it has an archaeological and touristic importance, as at the top you will meet Giorgos Xintaris, one of the last remaining people of the rebetiko music.
