No tour to Banff is complete without a visit to this place be it winter or summer.
The drive and the lake, both are awesome. There are multiple mesmerizing single day hikes around the lakes that take you to beautiful view points. My personal favourite is the plain of six glaciers hike.
For non hikers, just a walk around the lake is quite rewarding.

An amazing experience especially during winter! you can be in your beach wear out in the open in -40 degrees celsius in a pool of naturally occurring hot water and feel the rising vapour condense on your hair!
