Sightseeing
This is one of the most beautiful zoos we’ve visited. Lots of walking but so worth the stop. There’s an old carousel that’s truly magical.

This interesting spot is in Callahan about 45 minutes east of C Springs. Native people once gathered rock for pot making. It’s an amazing day trip full of history. A great walk too!

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
15807 Co Rd 1Walk out our front door and turn right, up the dirt road and you’ll see the sign for the trailhead. Beautiful views! The beginning mile is a bit of a challenge but we’ll worth it and a good work out. Even if you just go part way.

What a fun place. Our adult kids have been going here since they were little. At the foot of the road to (driving) Pikes Peak in Cascade.

We loved taking our own children hiking here. There is picnicking along the canyon, a wonderful nature center and hikes along the way to the top of the canyon. Enjoy!

This is a beautiful area. Easy walks through the formations on a paved surface or walk the rim for a bigger challenge. Visitors center is on the other side of Garden of the Gods Rd.

Hike this area anytime but evening sunsets are beautiful. Found on the west side of CS on Hwy 24. A popular walk area so you’ll see lots of cars but the area is expansive so you won’t feel crowded in.
