Sightseeing
A beautiful day of hiking. Wear your waterproof shoes and bring a lunch for a day of stunning views. This walk is just on the north side of the hillside the cottage is on. Take the Gap road up and over to the Leenan side and look for the path entrance.

Grianan Of Aileach is a 6th century ring fort that overlooks the Lough Swilly. From our cottage it is about a 30 minute drive. Pairing Grianan Fort with a visit to Derry makes for a wonderful day.

Five Finger Strand is one of my favorite places in the world. These views are from the road from Malin Head. The parking at the beach can be challenging on beautiful days but the sand dunes are fun for kids to run.

Visiting Derry
Derry is the second largest city in Northern Ireland. It is one of the few examples in Western Europe of a completely walled city. With the troubles behind it, Derry offers a tourist friendly environment coupling old and new attractions with plenty of up to date shopping experiences. Paedar O'Donnells will not disappoint for live music and a great pint of Guinness. The Walled City brewery located in an old military barracks has great local beer and wonderful food.
