Family Friendly Parks
These are local parks that our family has been to and our kids love to goto.
Lakes Park is probably one of best park in Lee County. It is children and family centric but adult can enjoy this facility as well. There is a huge lake right in the middle with activities all around it. You can visit the Train Museum that filled with interesting exhibit from locomotive to miniature trains. For a fee, you can take the train ride around the lake. During the Christmas holiday, the train paths were decorated with holiday theme artifacts. We did the train ride during the day but was told, it is an amazing ride near sun set with the lights on.
There are shelters you can rent for a gathering with nearby BBQ grills and stands. Ice machines and bathrooms are available within walking distance. There is a track about 1.5 miles you can jog in the morning or evening. You can rent pedal boat, kayak or Surrey to ride about the lake. A Children Garden, Community Garden and Botanical Garden has flowers, trees and exotic plants. If the Florian heat is bothering you? No problem, you can use the water sprouts on one side of park to cool off. On Wednesday morning, a Farmer Market is available to pick up local fruits, vegetables and other items.
There are activities planned all year round. In the fall they have a pumpkin patches with a walk around the lake. It has hundreds of pumpkins for sale. Hayride is available. Nevertheless, you can see children running around to enjoy the locomotive and playground.
The official name is Lakes Regional Park but local called this Lakes Park. The park was named because it has 158 acres of man-made freshwater lakes. The lakes were formed in 60's by rock mine in the property. A variety of wildlife and birds can be spotted throughout the year.

The recreation center offers leagues such as adult basketball, adult volleyball, wheelchair basketball, and pickleball. For additional fee, you can sign up for fitness classes, Wood Craving, Arts and Craft, Ballroom dancing, tap dancing, Karate, table tennis and other classes. The gym is a popular venue for Gymnastic, Basketball, and volleyball competitions and tournaments. A fully equipped weight room is available to build up your stamina and tune up your muscle! For the wood pushers, youngsters and adults can compete in chess games on Saturday! You can walk your dogs or take the leashes off inside the dog park. A dog washing area is available to clean your dog before you go home! You want to test your frisbee skills, you can try the 18 holes disc golf course. It is a very scenic walk and good frisbee skill is mandatory otherwise it will go into the lakes.
The facility is well run and staff is friendly. Go and try the Estero Community Park/Recreation Center to sweat a little for fitness or have a birthday party at one of pavilion or compete at a beach volley ball game or a pickleball game! These are local restaurants that we've brought our kids to and have had a lot of fun. We enjoy going out to eat as a family and it's important for us to have places we can go where our kids can be kids and we can sit back, relax, and watch them have fun! So we hope you love these places too.
This place has an upbeat vibe. There's things for all ages here. Families can chill outside on the large sofas while playing foosball, ping pong, corn hole all while listening to music by a bar. There is a fenced in playground too so the kiddos can play while the adults eat and hangout.
They have two courses, Cub and Tiger. They are not miniature golf with castles, dragons, waterfalls and wild animals but each hole has its own characteristic multi breaks. There are artificial sand traps. The Putt reading can be tricky but fun. It is more upscale than miniature golf. It’s main purpose is to have fun for all age group! Each hole is tightly packed. You can order drinks while playing by using the PopStroke apps.
Food is mostly bar food so when you come with that mindset you're all set!

The Adirondack chairs section does have a fire pit that they usually lite around dinner time and is a great place to sit and watch the sunset over the Caloosahatchee River. They also have corn hole setup in this section.
**TIP: This place doesn’t take reservations. But if you call ahead before arriving and say, “I’m calling ahead to put my name on the list and I’ll be there in under 30 mins” they’ll put you on the list. Allowing you to skip the line. :)

You're supposed to make it the whole way without falling off as you're being blasted with water guns.
One of the water slides spits you out right into the Lazy River. The lazy river had two different sections. One section has a bunch of different waterfalls and a bucket that fills up with water and randomly soaks everyone. The other side was water is very relaxing.
