Zaros is a traditional cretan village 30 min. drive up to the hill under the mountain of Psiloritis / Idi. You can enjoy the nature and a peaceful walk around the beautiful lake. For the brave ones you can take the trail up to the mountain which leads to Rouvas Forest and an old church of Saint Nikolaos. Its worth visiting!

Lake Votomos
Zaros is a traditional cretan village 30 min. drive up to the hill under the mountain of Psiloritis / Idi. You can enjoy the nature and a peaceful walk around the beautiful lake. For the brave ones you can take the trail up to the mountain which leads to Rouvas Forest and an old church of Saint Nikolaos. Its worth visiting!
Getting Around
Mires Bus station in Mires is the central one which leads you to the nearest Beaches with safety. Places such as Matala, kalamaki, Kokkinos Pyrgos, Zaros village, Gortys- Phaistos arheological sights, Aghia Galini, Rethimno, Heraklion city and other more place.
