In recent years, we've had comedians George Carlin and Lilly Tomlin, performances like the Golden Dragon Acrobats, family friendly plays like Shrek & The Little Mermaid. A little pricey but for special occasions or a drink before catching a show- we've found it's sooo worth it.
Yumm. This little gem in Medford offers some delicious morning bites & sweets too. Many of our Portland guests would stop here right off the plane before heading over to the Scenic Retreat.

Mixed drinks are fabulous too. Cost is a bit high, but we've found lunch to be pretty reasonable. Hear they also have a weekend brunch. If you're *not* a vegetarian & in Ashland, I recommend Smithfields.

Call ahead to confirm & get details about going to the caves. If you've never gone caving- this park offers sweet guided tours at a fair price. There's a nice historic chateau gift shop there too. Have brought my elder mom, in-laws, niece & nephew & they all loved it.

These majestic giant trees are a must-see for folks travelling through the Pacific Northwest. Consider this an all day trip from the tiny house. Leave early morning. Enjoy the redwoods, have some fresh caught fish in a coastal town.
