Wells Cathedral is worth a visit as is the market place and small shops surrounding it. A cathedral city, small enough to explore by foot. Market days Wednesday and Saturday and praticularly lovely. Wells' historic architecture has led to the city being used as a shooting location for numerous films and television programmes.

Famous for geology and fossils, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that remains unspoiled. The harbour has a famous stone construction known as the Cobb that shelters the boats. Lovely to promenade along the front. About a 50 minute drive away.
