Aber has it all!! Donkeys, slot machines, pier, cable car, castle, beach, fish and chips, shops, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. We used to go there on holiday as kids - love it!!

These rides are great - for all levels of riders. They normally break the group into two, so those that want a canter can and those who want to go slow and admire the great scenery can.

Montgomery is a really nice little village, nice castle, places to eat and "Bunners" a great hardware store - you may not think a hardware store is fun on holiday, but wait until you see this gem.

One of the best beaches in the area. Some small shops, nice places to eat and very nice harbour. Well worth a visit.

This town is really sweet - all the houses are a different colour and there is a super harbour with lovely restaurants and cafes. You can do whale and dolphin watching trips from here.

Another really nice beach. You can normally drive your car straight on the beach - great if you have lots of gear to take to the beach. Not many facilities nearby, so take a picnic.

On this Dam you can do sailing, fishing, canoeing or just walk around and be stunned by the beauty. Miles of forest walking nearby and the views are stunning.

Step back in time with a ride on the narrow guage railway to Welshpool, passing through glorious countryside in the Banwy Valley. Take a picnic and sit by the river.

Two of our wonderful guests tried this fish and chip shop and said it was the best batter they had ever eaten. Open 5pm to 8.30pm Monday to Saturday - But closed Sundays.

Really nice restaurant, mid priced and you need to book. During the week also food in the bar, but not at weekends. We have always had nice meals here.

If you are heading in or out of the area towards Hereford, this is an owl centre. I really enjoyed visiting this and the people who run it are amazing.

Horse Riding Lessons - I have had lost of lessons here. Good horses and they are great with beginners. They also do hacking, but you will need to check with them if you are a total beginner.

It is a small local course. There is a bigger club in Newtown. For the more experienced player there are lots of amazing courses in the area. Aberdovey is said to be a good one right by the beach.

Hang over Snowdonia on the longest zip line in Europe and travel for upto 100 miles an hour !! - it is a 2 hours drive from us so not local, but our recent guests did it and LOVED it!!
