You can sit down for fine dining, but I like the fresh fish case deli when you first walk in. I always get some smoked salmon, a quart of hot chowder and a fishermen’s loaf. Rip the loaf and dip in the chowder. Delicious, and the smoked salmon is the best I’ve ever had.

Quick trips to the store.
Ride bikes to get essentials during daytime hours, parking can be difficult on weekends mid day. Frys market is really close and has most items. Pavilions grocery store is a short bike ride.

Busy on the boardwalk.
Make sure to check both ways before crossing over the boardwalk to the beach. Bikes and skates are faster and quieter than ever before. People are friendly as they stroll along, make conversation meet new people.

Be careful in the ocean.
The water can be really inviting but don’t be fooled. The waves have tremendous power and although the water feels warm at first it gets cold when you are immersed. I recommend a wetsuit to stay warm, and swim fins to help catch and ride the waves. The right equipment can make huge difference in your adventure. Rentals are available at 15th street surf shop for specific items. Swim near a lifeguard.
