The BBQ Express opens its hatch at 7:00 PM and from that moment it is traffic jams on the Caracasbaaiweg. And rightly so, because nowhere else will you find such delicious barbecue dishes. Lomito (tenderloin), spicy chicken, stoba (stew), everything is delicious here. BBQ Express located on the Caracasbaaiweg (opposite the Heineken Snack) is open from 7pm until late.

A great place for lunch.
The concept is as simple as it is brilliant. Six local eateries are located in the building. On one side of the Plasa Bieu they prepare the dishes in open kitchens. Furthermore, there are long rows of tables in the building. So no separate sitting areas; you simply sit down with the rest of the guests.
The Plasa Bieu is only open for lunch and around lunchtime it can be very busy. People who work or live in the area like to pick it up, but tourists are also increasingly finding the Oude Markt.
That is more than justified: quality is of paramount importance here. But at the same time, the prices are very low. For a price between ten and twenty Antillean guilders you can enjoy a delicious hot lunch meal here.

Furthermore, there are long rows of tables in the building. So no separate sitting areas; you simply sit down with the rest of the guests.
The Plasa Bieu is only open for lunch and around lunchtime it can be very busy. People who work or live in the area like to pick it up, but tourists are also increasingly finding the Oude Markt.

The "green batido truck"
You see them all over Curaçao, food trucks that sell delicious batidos, or shakes made of fresh fruit. You designate the fruit yourself, which is already frozen in the display cases. For example, you can choose from watermelon, banana, mango, strawberry, pineapple and kiwi. The fruit is mixed in a blender, with milk and sugar if you like, and in a few minutes you will be served a delicious, fresh shake. Many batido trucks also serve coconuts and ice cream.
