This is a classic Southern California beach town. State Street has a lot of food and shopping options. There’s also a lot of fun bars. Our favorite spots include Handel’s Ice Cream, Campfire, The Goods (Gourmet Donuts), Choice Juicery. If you love surf and outdoor brands you should check out Sun Diego. Lots of boutique shopping here as well!

This is a classic Southern California beach town. State Street has a lot of food and shopping options. There’s also a lot of fun bars. If you’re looking to get some exercise, this park is only a couple miles from our house and has lots of great views. We hear the disc golf is fun! Theres also 4 Bocce Ball courts here.

Food scene
If you want to spend a day away from the beach scene, this is a great winery with beautiful scenery. Im not sure of their current COVID restrictions but we used to take our kids here on the weekends and picnic in the lawn and buy some bottles of wine. We would spend the whole afternoon there.

Im not sure of their current COVID restrictions but we used to take our kids here on the weekends and picnic in the lawn and buy some bottles of wine. We would spend the whole afternoon there.
Our favorite breakfast place of all time! A bit of a wait on the weekends, but it doesn’t disappoint. Sets the bar high for beach scene restaurant.

This unique deli has a very interesting story behind it, Ill let you do the research. Its also open 24 and less than a couple miles away. The craftsman style building is very beautiful, we recommend breakfast or lunch on the patio.
