This is a historical place in the city, where first inmigrants arrived and lived. They used to paint their houses of the color of the flags of their country of origin. Advice: go there with Buenos Aires Bus, at day-time. It is not a safe neighbourhood at night.

If you would like to see a tango show, this is the place. A bit expensive, but they can pick you up. You can choose not to have dinner in place to make it cheaper.

Barrios

This neighbourhood is very popular on Saturdays and Sundays, there are a lot of restaurants and designer shops. It is nice for lunch on a sunny day, and there are a lot of bars to go at night.

This is a great Italian restaurant, where handmade pasta is served. The cook is a well known chef, and she use to be there in person. I recommend the Aperol Spritz drink while waiting for your food, just like in Italy.

This restaurant is owned by a Uruguayan man, and has great meat! The funny thing is that it is all decorated with Soccer shirts and pictures. I recommend the Pamplona and “papa al plomo” as side order.

Buenos Aires Bus

There is a double-decker bus, that goes to main neighbourhoods in the city, and it is worth paying the ticket. In the same day, you can visit typical places with the same ticket. It is now suspended for COVID reasons, but I recommend to check the website before coming to Buenos Aires. https://www.buenosairesbus.com/
交通アクセス

Metro/BUS card (SUBE card)

You cannot pay cash on the bus or metro. You need to buy the card in any of the stores or kiosks in the city (there are plenty of them, you can check the ones in the neighbourhood in this website: https://www.argentina.gob.ar/SUBE ).
節約術

Food and delivery

You can download some apps that will bring you food at any time: most pospular one is Rappi.
節約術

Bikes for moving around

You will see bicycles for rent in parks and some city points. They are called Ecobici. You can find bike stations and rental process here: https://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/ecobici
出発前に予約しよう

Covid restrictions. Always book.

Due to covid-19, you need to book in all restaurants and places in the city.

Tips at restaurants

Tips in Argentina are not mandatory. There’s no law about them and waiters do receive a fix salary. However, it is recommended and expected to leave a tip of 10% of the total amount paid, including for Rappi delivery boys/girls. Taxi drivers do not expect any tip at all.

Tap water

You can drink tap water in Buenos Aires. However, restaurants do not offer tap water for free, but only bottled water.
