Stratford is the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare and is home to the Royal Shakespeare Company. It’s a beautiful place to visit, even if you’re not going to the theatre, with pretty gardens and rowing along the river alongside the theatre. Even if you haven’t booked ahead, it’s still worth contacting the box office to see if there’s last minute availability for one of their productions.
