Craft Breweries
Fun fact: Atascadero is one of only a couple towns in California that allows open-container alcohol consumption in public. Lotta love for breweries here in A-town, so check out a few!

Wineries
Our North SLO county is a renown wine region, with nearby “46 West” wineries as the most highly regarded. Our favorite stretch is just off Hwy 46 on Vineyard Drive road: enjoy a lovely drive among rolling vineyards and majestic oaks, and stop off at more than one winery along your way. (Tip: swing by the Trader Joe’s right off the 101/Vineyard Drive exit you’d take if coming from our place, and pick up some cheese, bread, and chocolates to enjoy with your wine experience).
The wineries below are all on Vineyard Drive and listed in geographical order if you’re driving there from our place.

Three Bridges Oak Preserve Trailhead
9930 Carmelita AveModerate level, about 3 miles, stunning views
Moderate level hike that’s maybe our favorite in the entire county- breathtaking views of the 7 major peaks (“7 Sisters”) including Morro Rock. 15 minute drive to the dirt parking area/trail head, just off the 101 at the top of the grade (be watchful or you’ll miss it). Moderate level hike up to a view area, then you can either turn around or keep going for miles. Popular for mountain biking as well and wide enough to easily accommodate walkers.
