Head here for a fantastic start to the day! Sweet Mimi's owner challenged Bobby Flay and did pretty well (but ultimately lost). You'll see how she got there when you sample her unique breakfasts. Weekends are a long wait but it's worth it.

Make a reservation well ahead of time or you'll never get in and it is worth getting in! If you're celebrating a very special event this is the dinner dining experience you'll remember. It's pricey and worth it!

This is the steakhouse to visit for great food in a beautiful, historic hotel. You'll love the atmosphere of this old place...don't miss it if you're looking for a special night out.

Great weekend brunch! I recommend the chicken and waffles or shrimp, and grits. This is my go-to brunch when guests are in town. Great outdoor dining in the back and the same chicken shack vibe we've enjoyed here in Saratoga for years!

Take Out and Delivery

Sushi Thai is our local favorite Thai place. Reliably good and fast take-out service. They deliver but why bother when it's 6 doors down!

There's nothing like seeing a show at the intimate Caffe Lena! It's loaded with folk music history and continues to carry it forward by showcasing traditional, alternative, and cross-genre folk music. Reserve a seat on the couch if you're traveling solo and you're bound to make new friends. And, it's practically next door!

This is a classic, historic, awesome summer concert venue that's just a few miles away. Grab a rental bike from a kiosk in town to ride over there for a show. You can rent another on the grounds to ride back and skip the traffic jam of cars waiting to get out after the show! My favorite shows there so far were: David Bowie, The Talking Heads, Beck, Cage the Elephant, and...there are too many! The official blurb: Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is one of America's premier arts and entertainment venues. Nestled in Saratoga Spa State Park, SPAC's stages host acclaimed programs in dance, classical music, jazz, and opera as well as a popular concert series.

This isn't my thing but people love it! No experience necessary - a local artist will instruct you step by step through an original piece of art while you follow along with a cocktail! At the end of the night, you'll take home a beautiful painting & hopefully a newfound talent!

Sightseeing

If you've never been to Lake George you seriously don't know what you’re missing. Voted Most Beautiful Lake in America. ____ When Thomas Jefferson gazed upon the waters of Lake George in 1791, he was inspired to write, “Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw.” Hundreds of thousands of visitors after him have jotted similar words on the backs of postcards, in battered travel journals, and in cherished scrapbooks. This “Queen of American Lakes” is 32-miles long and fed by mammoth underground springs that give the Lake its crystal clear reputation. The Lake boasts over 109 miles of shoreline and over 300 islands – many of which feature spots for camping and picnicking. The shallowest part of the Lake near the shoreline can be one foot – but out among its waters – depths can reach as much as 195 feet. The Lake varies from as much as three miles across to one mile across. All around are the beautiful mountains of the Adirondacks.
