Fresh Fish, great informal vibe, friendly knowledgeable staff. And you get to choose whichever fish you want from the display fridge, how to have it cooked and what sauces or other bits you want with it. Pretty good value though not obviously a cheap place. Best thing though is it is probably the nearest restaurant to the flat.....right out of the door...across the road and along Barnoon Terrace, admiring the views across the harbour to your left, then left and down all the steps at the end on your left...it is right opposite you at the bottom.

This place is fairly new to St Ives, and its thing is Belgian Beer and Food. The range of beers here was huge, and wide-ranging. Lambics, Trappists, Gueuzes, Fruity ones etc etc .... all there and served in the lovely glassware too. The food is pretty good as well...and not small on portion size, or limited to the usual seaside fare. It has rapidly become a personal favourite.

This is worth a mention as it is en route to/from St Ives ( about 10 mins away) and has loads of car parking round the back. The food is really amazing...seating inside is large though there is no sea-view. Check opening times before a trip.... or else chance it on the way home.
Fabulous fish & chips. Take away or eat in. The restaurant is fairly new and clean, and the food is exceptional. Situated in Hayle, it could make a great place to stop off on the way to or from St Ives. Parking is possible nearby.
