Not much is left of the old Central District, but Fats is trying to hang on to what's left. Living in the iconic prior home of Catfish Corner, Fats offers soul food, chicken & waffles and breakfast all day. If you get a chance, chat with the owner, she's a character. And come hungry! Pro tip: The breakfast sandwich contains pretty much everything else on the menu :-)

The Puget Sound area moves on Ferries, and they leave from here! For a cheap cruise on Elliott Bay, take the ferry to Bainbridge Island and back - it will run you something like $6 per person for an hour and a half of sailing, and you get an iconic view of Seattle on the way. Take a coat, it gets cold on the water.
