incredible tapas food. No bookings accepted on a Friday night - it's a turn up and wait job but they take your number and call when a table is ready

Local brazillian restaurant and takeaway. Only 2 minute walk from our home. They do wonderful breakfasts and dinners - I highly recommend their pulp juices as well! The coconut one is to die for! A menu can be found on top of the microwave in your room.

Our local pub (previously known as "The Bayberry" is fab for convenience. The food is ok (not as "special as Hall & Woodhouse). It's only a 2 minute walk from our house at the entrance to the estate. They show regular sporting matches on Tele here. Nice beer garden also.

Incredible little treasure near Wootton Bassett (7 min drive from us). Walk inside the greenhouses amongst hundreds of species of Butterflys and then stroll outside to see some animals. Not too badly priced (about £7/8 entry)

Our beautiful man made lakes are a stunning place to see wildlife at its best. If you head towards the Waitrose end of the estate then you will find them (5 min walk from us). Take the canal path to and from our house to get there, or walk around the houses of the estate if you fancy a nose! You'll see swans, ducks, water voles (if you're lucky) and a resident heron keeps guard of the fishes in the canal. Perfect for a short evening or morning stroll when staying with us.

The Avebury stones are a National Trust phenomenon and only a 15-20 minute drive from us. There is also a NT house there and a couple of old pubs for lunch or a cheeky drink.

交通アクセス

regular buses from East Wichel

Both the no.9 and no.11 bus takes you from Wichelstowe (bus stop opposite the co-op, take the co-op side of the road stop to go into town) into the town centre. Get off at Regent Circus. They are very regular - you're bound to catch one of them every 20 minutes during the weekday.
