Food scene

The brisket street tacos and the smoked Salmon and Gouda grilled cheese are amazing! Fresh fruit served with a lot of meals, and gluten free is an option too! Owner takes pride in what he serves as well. Perfect for a Sunday morning, very relaxing. Too many great choices to list, but it is a Host Favorite. Great Saki and beer too :)

Shopping/fun

A fun, busy place to shop all up and down Main St in Nisswa. Plenty of specialty shops; everything from home furnishings, to gift shops to childrens shops, and a pretty darn good Brewery and coffee roastery to boot! A must for folks coming to the Brainerd Lakes area! SOmething for everyone here, including the long standing tradition of the Nisswa Turtle Races happening every Wednesday!

Local Rec Area

This a close-by (2 miles) wonderful place to go to relax, fish, or just walk around. The one side of the bridge/ rec area has the Dam, popular for fishing, a playground, grills and picnic area, the other side of bridge has the small private beach, swimming, boat launch and picnic area with lots of shady tall trees. Never crowded, and little known beach used by primarily locals. About $3-5 bucks a day for the beach/boat launch side. The Gull River runs under the Dam, and is just beautiful to cruise down in a canoe/kayak.
