Sightseeing

This my favorite spot because of the spectacular view point the parks Rocky outcrop offering Birdseye view of Nelson’s heritage downtown and water. Gyro Park is an enchantin getaway right in the center of town . It has a spectacular viewpoint from the rocky outcrop offering birds eye view of Nelson‘s heritage downtown and waterfront. Gyro Park is a very picturesque park especially in the summer because of the playground and summer time wading pool for the small ones. Beautifully landscaped which makes this place ideal for wedding ceremonies and group photos .

A simple stroll down Baker Street can be a spellbinding experience. This town is a place of integrity, most shops are locally owned and operated; a common theme here. There is a vibration that Nelson maintains and is also known for; it is a nourishing and replenishing place to be.

Selkirk Loop

The Selkirk Loop is a delightful experience to say the least. The true “loop” spans from just north of Nelson and circles down into Idaho and Washington. Pack a picnic or alternatively stop at the many delicious eateries along the way! This drive is 153km (95 miles) and circles down to Castlegar, Trail and Rossland BC. Castlegar has a historic Village Museum worth visiting, and BC’s “Little Italy” (Trail BC) has a strong Italian heritage.
