Drive upto the top of the Old Hospital Road, and trek to the top of the rock for a spectacular, stupendous, one of a kind view of the harbour.
Or just trek from home to the top of the rock...its only a mile or so.
Take a water bottle with you, and if you wish to spend time at the top of the rock, take some snacks with you. Its generally a bit more windy there than it is at the base of the hill..

Saint Paul's Rock - Ohakiri
43 Old Hospital RdDrive upto the top of the Old Hospital Road, and trek to the top of the rock for a spectacular, stupendous, one of a kind view of the harbour.

Wonderful Tauranga Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand.
Take ample snacks, food, water, sunscreens - no shops or restaurants there.
Approx 3 hours north of Whangaroa is this northmost end of New Zealand. You can see far into the turquoise Blue Ocean spead on three sides of the land.
There is abolsutely no restaurant there, or even near Cape Reinga - all food supplies, water, snacks need to be carried with you. Because it is a driving round trip of 6 hours + extra time - take sufficient food/water supplies...
