This is my personal favorite hot chicken spot in Nashville. It's small and often crowded, but well worth the wait.

Not only does Fido have some of the best breakfast and coffee in town, but their lunch selection is unreal. I go here at least once a week if possible.

Hands down the best pizza in Nashville. They are open late, with a take out window open even later, and with their location right between some of the best bars, you can't beat it.

If you love Ramen, this is the place for you. I've been probably a dozen times and have never been disappointed. With some standard dishes and an ever changing list of specials, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This place has only been open for a short time but is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. Not only is just down the street from my house, but it has enormous portions of wonderful comfort food. Rainy day, late night, just a regular Tuesday, it is always the right choice for a quick, close bite to eat.

This to-go window just opened and is my new favorite place. The quick version of Otaku Ramen, you can get amazing Ramen to-go at all hours of the day. My house is only five minutes away by car, and my order has been waiting for me every time I've gone to pick it up. They are crazy fast, and crazy delicious.

One of my favorite spots in Nashville, this wonderful lake surrounded by hiking trails is a short drive outside of the city and is a hot spot for outdoorsy types in Music City.

Right next to the Nashville Farmer's Market, across the street from the capitol, and walking distance to downtown and Germantown, this gem of a park is my favorite place in Nashville. It's always full of families and groups, with fun events happening all the time. Rent a B-cycle and ride around Nashville's oldest neighborhood in Germantown, or stop for lunch at the farmer's market.

Not only does this place have some of middle Tennessee's best farmers on the weekends, but during the week the food court has some of the best food in town. You can go from Jamaican to BBQ to Pizza to Tacos in about ten feet, and all of them are amazing. Walk next door to Bicentennial Park for a fun picnic lunch.

Drinks & Nightlife

Without a doubt one of Nashville's coolest bars, that now serves amazing dinner as well. Located in the Wedgewood Houston area, you are right down the street from a communal maker space, a converted factory office, and the Nashville Flea Market.

You kind of have to see it to believe it, but this is a beer only, cash only karaoke bar inside a double wide trailer that is entirely Santa Claus themed. I swear I am not making that up, but take my word for it, it's worth the trip.

A craft brewery less than a five minute walk from my house is not something I ever imagined would happen, and yet here we are. This small but wonderful spot opened up a few months ago and has become very popular with the whole East Nashville community. A great spot to hang out, grab something to eat, and sample their local Nashville brews.

Arguable Nashville's hippest spot, the 5-Spot is a bar/venue with amazing shows. When Lady Gaga wanted to kick off her Dive Bar tour, she started here. If you are lucky enough to be in town on a Monday don't miss Motown Monday, a 50s and 60s dance party complete with swing dancing and classic hits.

Sightseeing

The home of Honky Tonks in Nashville, you can't go wrong with a trip down Broadway. Every day of the week it is a flurry of bachelorette parties, live music, street performers, and all things Nashville. Seriously, it is as crazy on a Tuesday as on the weekend, and just as fun every night of the week.

Arts & Culture

This art museum is in a stunning mid-century building, and features a rotating selection of amazing shows. Some of my favorites from the past few years have been A History of Animation, Japanese Woodcuts, and a special on Nick Cave. Well worth a visit.
