Upper Shore - Chincoteague
35 minute day trip from your rental that is a must. Chincoteague is the town with all the fun amenities like food, bike rentals, shops, boat rides, water park, etc.
Assateague is the adjacent island with the famous ponies, public beach, lighthouse, and trails. Pets are not permitted on Assateague, even in your car. There is a day or week entry fee.
This is where the famous Chincoteague ponies live year round. There is also a public beach, walking and biking trails, and a lighthouse. No pets.
