The White tower was built in 1494 on top of a rock. Its straight side closing a semicircle faces the city. The tower has 5 stories and its height ranges between 18-20 meters, depending on the grounds it is built on. It got its name from the whitewash that coated its walls. The top is bastion shaped and the offsets from which showers of stone were dropped on the attacking enemy are still standing on its sidewalls. The entrance of the tower was so high that a ladder was needed in order to get inside. Just like the other buildings, the tower also suffered damages in the 1689 fire which were remedied only in the 1723 restoring works. According to the town defense system the tin- and coppersmiths

The Black tower is an 11 meter high massive tower with a glass roof constructed in 1995. It was built in the XIVth century and survived two fires caused by lightning. After the first fire (1599) the tower was named The Black Tower. The 2 m high entrance of the tower could be approached only by ladder. The link to the castle was an underground tunnel and a bridge. The tower was built for defense against enemies. The last time it functioned as a watchtower was in 1756 during the plague epidemic. Today the tower houses temporary exhibitions.

The St Bartholomew Evangelical church is the oldest building in Brasov. Built in the 13th century its folk name was 'the maiden' due to a belief that the church was built at the initiative of three maidens who after their death left their entire possessions to the church. As a tribute the church-goers buried the bodies of the three maidens under the altar. The three-nave church with its massive surrounding walls outlasted the Turkish invasion and the 1689 great fire, as well as the raids of Vlad Țepeș (1458) and Báthory Gábor (1611.) Its tower collapsed in the 1822 earthquake and was rebuilt a storey higher in 1842. The western, southwestern and most of the northern section of the middle age

The alley between Cerbului-, and Poarta Schei Streets is already mentioned by documents dating from the XVIIth century as a street which aided the work of firefighters. Since then it has become one of the curiosities in town. More daring people even assert that this is the narrowest street in Europe. One thing is certain: with its 111 and 135 cm alternating width it is known as the narrowest street in town. Thus, the altogether 80 meters long street became tourists' favorite site, lovers' meeting place and of course photographer's favourite subject.
