Kensington Palace GardensThis is a total favourite for afternoon tea inside Kensington Gardens ( not the same as the tearooms at Kensington Palace). This road has a lot of Chinese restaurants as well as food from other areas. Royal China has a good reputation - not cheap - but it's fun to walk along and just pick somehwere. The bowling alley and ice rink are here too

( closed Thursdays) But on Saturday amd poss Friday there is an antique market at the north end and clothes and furniture towards Golborne Road. Get there before 11 to avoid the crowds - or go late to get the bargains on the fruit and veg stalls. NB there is no market on Thursdays

Peter Jones is right opposite Sloane square tube which is a couple is stops on the circle line from Notting Hill Gate and sells men and women’s fashion, children’s clothes, makeup, fabric, bedlinen. carpets, crockery, glasses, coffee makers, and electronics. Most things you could possibly want and all of a good quality.
