A must see Plantation with one of Martinique's oldest trees. A great place to lunch. It is one of the most beautiful places in Martinique even with its gory past. A swim in Anse Ceron after lunch is required.

Flavours reminiscent of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The best ice cream in Martinique. Artisanal. I love the chocolate ginger and the manioc flavours. Maybe basil sorbet is the one for you. A must if you head to the North.

The former capital of Martinique referred to as the Geneva of the Caribbean with its stock exchange and street lights all built on the prosperous slave trade, but destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mountain Pele in the early 20th Century. 30,000 inhabitants died. Today there are only 4,500 inhabitants. The views are stunning and the story of the survivor who was imprisoned for intoxication is amazing. Take a tour on the little train and go see Rue d'enfer.
