The city is very safe but you have to be carefull with the pickpockets at the metro stations.

Transfers from and to the airport: If you are not able to use Uber or Taxi I have a contact that can pick you in the airport.
Transport VS Uber: Uber is very cheap in Portugal so dont hesitate if you need to use it.
